NEWSLETTER: June 2026 Updates - New Patreon Articles
Dear friends,
Summer is in full swing here and between heat waves and rain storms there have been both productive as well as stagnant days.
I am still working on my upcoming Baba Jaga-oracle deck. I’m almost done with the illustrations (currently there are eight more artworks to go), and making good progress on the guidebook as well. I think the deck is coming together in exactly the right time and pace - even though at times I am impatient and have to fight the anxious urge to rush things.
NEW (AND FREE) PATREON ARTICLES
In the last newsletter I announced my return to Patreon, and in the past month I published three new articles for free members:
FREE PRINTABLE: NO AI-STICKERS
Ben from Urban Mystic Art and me created two different NO AI-Sticker Designs for you to print out or share online.
Print these designs on sticker paper to beautify every piece of AI generated-abomination in your town. Put it on your journal, gift it to your grandma, or print it out on a big piece of paper and color it in with your friends. Whatever you do, do it with your own hands and brain!
We think it’s important to take a stance on the use of generative AI in creative as well as in nature based-spirituality spaces. You can read our whole AI-statement in the article.
OPENING UP ABOUT MY WITCHCRAFT PRACTICE
I used to keep the vast majority of my witchcraft practice private. Most of what I do cannot be described with words. It is experienced in the body. Hence I felt that it wasn’t even possible to share a lot about my work.
However, I don’t think that’s completely true. There are some practical aspects I can and maybe even should share.
WORKING WITH BONES
Deathwork is a big part of my witchcraft practice. I’ve been caring for and working with animal remains for a couple of years at this point. The process differs from one spirit to another, however there are some similarities and key takeaways I want to share with you in this article.
MEETING THE BABA JAGA-ORACLE
Venture deep into the birch forest, stand before the Baba Jaga, and answer her question: Are you here by choice, or by chance?
The Baba Jaga survived through centuries in folk tales - sometimes aiding the heroes, sometimes hindering them, but always facilitating change. She may be a single entity, a type of local spirit, an archetype, or everything at once. The Baba Jaga can not be defined.
Stories and folktales are at the heart of what it means to be human, and maybe today we need their medicine more than ever. Based in Slavic folklore, the Baba Jaga-Oracle explores the topic of transformation, and serves as a tool to guide you through the different stages of change.
The Baba Jaga-Oracle contains 40 cards with hand-drawn artworks and a guidebook with divination messages rooted in scholarly sources. The project will come to Kickstarter in late Autumn 2026.
The Baba Jaga-Oracle is 100% human-made with lots of love and care. All artworks and texts are dreamed up by human imagination and created by human hands. No generative A.I. is used in the making of this deck.
CARD OF THE MONTH
MARZANNA - CYCLES
As the goddess of seasonal rebirth, Marzanna rules over life's cycles. The wheel of the year turns evermore. It reminds us that life and the seasons consist of different tides. The natural cycle of all things lies beyond our control.
Inhale. Exhale. All of life is cyclical. As humans, we are part of nature, and thus we possess our own natural cycles as well. Life is a natural series of ups and downs
You will experience moments of success and moments of failure. Both are invaluable. If you cannot value the downs, you cannot enjoy the ups.
Marzanna reminds you that no matter where you stand, whether you are experiencing a high, or are feeling low, the wheel will always keep on turning. The only constant in life is change. There is a time for everything.
The above text is an excerpt from European Goddesses and Spirits Oracle Deck. You can purchase the deck and the companion book on my website or learn more about the oracle here.
