NEWSLETTER: February 2026 Updates - Artworks & Tattoos
Dear friends,
Welcome to the second newsletter of 2026! February is almost over, and I‘m glad to bid it farewell. Nature is still asleep and the last weeks were gray, rainy (sometimes snowy), cold and overall depressing. However, the sun has been out a few precious times already, and Spring may just be around the corner here in the Northern Hemisphere.
I struggled a lot this month with questions of identity and direction in my professional life. After working through a lot of grief and confusion, I‘m very happy to tell you that I have embarked on a new path and started two new big projects.
ART I CREATED THIS MONTH
I haven‘t been drawing as much in February as I did in January. I started a lot of artworks but barely finished anything. The three illustrations I created are (from left to right) my interpretation of a harpy, a Juniper tattoo design I‘d love to ink, and the sealskin woman based on the story told by Clarissa Pinkola Estés.
At the end of this month, I finally started working on my second oracle deck. I‘m currently in the research and writing phase. I‘m planning to finish the guidebook first, and create the artworks afterwards. I learned a lot during the creation of my first deck, and I‘m hoping that the deck making process will be smoother and more relaxed this time around.
I‘m not ready to share too many details about this new project yet. What I can say so far is that it‘s going to be a folklore based oracle deck focusing on a singular topic with 40 cards and a thoroughly researched guidebook. Of course everything is handmade and written by me - as always without the use of AI.
TATTOOS I INKED THIS MONTH
Tattooing has been on the back burner for me this month, and it probably will be for the foreseeable future. While I want to focus most of my energy on creating my new deck, you can of course still book tattoo appointments with me. The wanna do in the middle is still available!
If you want to get a tattoo from me, I work in a tattoo parlor in Braunschweig, Germany. You can find a selection of available wanna do-designs above or on my tattoo-Instagram. To book an appointment please fill out the application form here, or message me on Instagram.
CARD OF THE MONTH
FREYJA - PURPOSE
Freyja is the divine model of a Viking Age sorceress. She has a lot in common with Odin, who is the other major deity linked to magic in Norse mythology.
Freyja travels the worlds, giving herself different names and disguises. She searches for her husband Odr ('mind, frenzy, poetry'), which could be interpreted as a concept rather than a person. Hence, Odr could be a metaphor for divine inspiration and wisdom. Freyja's fondness of gold could be another symbol for the divine knowledge she desires.
As such, Freyja embodies the archetype of the witch. She is a self-reliant woman on a quest to find inspiration and wisdom. Her travels are fueled by purpose. Freyja challenges you to think about the direction of your own path. What are you passionate about? What is your personal Odr? What is your “why”?
The above text is an excerpt from European Goddesses and Spirits Oracle Deck. You can purchase the deck and the companion book on my website or learn more about the oracle here.
